The State Commissioner for the Elections, Ilirjan Celibashi gave a statement for the press, where he reported on the preliminary results of the April 25th elections.
Celibashi informed that the counting process is completely wrapped up for political subjects, as well as candidates for 4922 boxes out of the 5199 in total.
“The counting and evaluation process is completely finished, for political parties, coalitions and independent candidates in the electoral districts of Shkodra, Lezha, Kukes, Fier, Elbasan, Gjirokaster, Dibra, Berat and Vlora,” said Celibashi, while stating that in Durres and Tirana, vote counting is complete in 11 counting centers and they are still processing in 13 others.
Regarding the turnout, Celibashi reported that until now the official participation of voters is 45.72%.
Preliminary results for the April 25th elections on a national level:
Nisma Thurje – 0,64% of votes
PSD – 2,24% of votes or 3 mandates
SMI – 6,85% of votes, 4 mandates
DP and the Alliance for Change – 39.40 % of votes, 59 mandates
SP – 48.67% of votes and 74 mandates
Distribution of mandates on national level until now:
Berat – DP 2 SP 5 mandates
Dibra – DP 3 SP 2 mandates
Durres – DP 6 SP 8 mandates
Elbasan – DP 6 SP 8 mandates
Fier – SMI 1, DP 6, SP 9 mandates
Gjirokaster – DP 1, SP 3 mandates
Kukes – DP 2, SP 1 mandates
Lezha – DP 4, SP 3 mandates
Shkoder – PSD 2, SMI 1, DP 5, SP 3 mandates
Tirana – PSD 1, SMI 2, DP 15, SP 18 mandates
Vlora – DP 4, SP 8 mandates
Ilirjan Celibashi emphsized that CEC has taken all the measures so that this electoral process doesn’t turn into an electoral bazaar.
“We have all the footage of the counting process,” stated Celibashi.
