The counting of votes has started in most districts in Albanian following the closing of polling stations at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Euronews Albania journalists have closely followed the voting process throughout the country.
Data provided by CEC as of 2 a.m. show the following results for each party in the three main districts in central Albania.
In Tirana, the SP is coming in first with 58.68 as of 2 a.m., followed by DP 33.1%, and SMI 4.28% – click here to see the interactive map.
In Elbasan, the SP is again the frontrunner with 53.76%, DP 39.78%, and SMI 4%. The data relied on the reports by two administrative units of Elbasan, Belsh, and Librazhd – click here to see the interactive map.
Finally, the counting has started in Durres also but the CEC has so far published no preliminary results – click here to see the interactive map.
