Eight hours after polls officially closed in Durres, the counting process began at around 3 AM. The process is rolling regularly despite the delay and the Central Election Commission reported that the first ballot boxes tallied are from Shijak and Maminas.

According to figures released by CEC, as of 03:35 AM, the Socialist Party has received 418 votes (65.52%), and 193 votes for the Democratic Party (30.25%). Click here to see the interactive map.

Reportedly, the delay came as a result of disagreements between Counting Teams, while some of them left only to return afterward.
