During a statement for the media, DP’s candidate for MP, Mark Marku stated that in Lezha, DP is certain to win a fourth mandate.

“300 votes in Miredita, with a limited number of voters, is a large number. In Kurbin, except for two boxes, in the city of Lac, where DP didn’t do very well, we are the winners with 1200 votes. In Lezha, we can reach 2000-2500 votes. We are practically guaranteed a fourth mandate and have around 5500 additional votes over the fourth MP,” said Marku.

Mark Marku said that the result of these elections, has been one of the most overwhelming results DP has ever received in Miredita.

“This has come as a result of the way we have communicated with citizens, how we have conducted out campaign and from the activism of all of DP’s structure as well as citizens,” said Marku, adding that this has been a general mobilization to overthrow Edi Rama and DP has done its job and led this entire process.

Mark Marku also spoke on the results on a national level, saying that the public opinion has been cheated, by opening the boxes of municipalities traditionally supporting SP first.

“On the national level, they are playing a trick to cheat the public opinion, because the counting process has started on areas, where DP had a certain loss. In Kurbin, they started with the city of Lac, where SP has been in the lead but they were disappointed, as they lost especially where they thought they would be in the lead,” said Marku.

DP’s candidates said that according to him there have been many efforts to buy the vote in the district of Lezha.

“The entire local government were involved, officials from the municipalities have distributed money, we have fought an unequal war but we have won it,” added Mark Marku.
