The Democratic Party expects the result to overturn as votes continue to be counted across the country.

MP candidate, Alfred Rushaj, said in a press conference that as the process continues “there will be surprises”, According to him, the DP will recoup.

“Today we saw exactly how two parliamentary seats were recovered. As counting continues there will be other unpleasant surprises for our opponents”, said Rushaj.

The candidate of the Democrats called on counters and observers “not to alter the will of the people”.

“They voted for the change, they expect the change to come and we will bring to them”, said Rushaj.

As of 9 PM, with around 70% of ballot stations counted, results depict the SP as the frontrunner with an advantage by over 100.000 votes.
