The normative act for the revision of the budget for 2024 foresees an additional funding of 250 million ALL for the diaspora voting process for the 2025 elections.

“Additional financing in the amount of 250 million ALL for the year 2024 for the project of registering voters in the diaspora at the Central Election Commission, with the aim of advancing in 2024 the procurement procedures for the general elections of 2025 and guaranteeing the timely implementation of the system”, it is stated in the normative act of the state budget.

By the middle of November, the consensus for the administration of the counting and evaluation of votes should have been obtained, which according to the provisions of the Electoral Code is expected to be done at the CEC.

Meanwhile, March 1, 2025 is the deadline for the approval of the ballot which is expected to go through the postal service to migrants who have expressed the desire to participate in the spring elections. Their registration will be opened 4 months before the election date.
