Today, the first Albania-EU intergovernmental conference took place in Luxembourg, where negotiations for the first cluster have officially started. These negotiations include issues related to; justice, democracy, judiciary, procurement and public administration.

The Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni declares that the agreement for immigrants with Albania is a model that other European Union countries are keen to follow. In a speech in Italian Parliament, Meloni stated that this pact does not violate human rights.

The Supreme Court rejects the request of the former democratic deputy, Ervin Salianji, for the suspension of his 1-year prison sentence. lawyers demanded Salianj’s release, describing the prison sentence as an unjust decision.

A rare intervention has been performed for the first time at the “Mother Teresa” University Hospital Center in Tirana. Doctors have managed to remove a tumor from a patient’s head without invasive surgery.

The number of road accidents has increased as according to INSAT data, 1285 accidents were registered in 2023. In 84% of cases, the drivers were at fault due to non-compliance with traffic rules.
