After decades of artistic work in the United States of America, painter Ilmi Zani has returned to his hometown, Gramsh, where he opened his second personal exhibition.
The exhibition was inaugurated at the Palace of Culture, in the presence of representatives of local institutions as well as dozens of citizens, young people, and art enthusiasts who viewed the artist’s works up close.
“In this exhibition, I am presenting all the works from my life, from 1972 until today. All painting techniques are represented,” said Ilmi Zani, painter.
The works highlight the figure of the Gramsh-born artist, who through his creativity has left a mark on the visual arts both inside and outside Albania.
“We come from America; my lifelong passion has been painting, and I have been continuously engaged in it without interruption. It is a great pleasure for me to open such an exhibition in my city, with works created throughout my entire life,” Zani added.
The exhibition stands as a testimony to the artist’s passion and dedication, turning Gramsh for a few days into a meeting place between art and the public.
