The Democratic Party has denounced the lack of hygienic conditions and weak infrastructure in most of the schools, which, according to the DP, make it impossible to implement the security protocols.
“The first week of the school year and the government failed to welcome students and teachers safely under this pandemic”, Vokshi said.
“Edi Rama lied when he promised to rebuild and reopen the schools damaged by the pandemic. None of the 103 damaged schools were ready to welcome around 23,000 teachers and students”, Vokshi declared.
The former Democratic Party MP, Albana Vokshi, accused the government of failing to test teachers, which led to a higher number of infections.
“Our data show that more than 50 education professionals were confirmed positive in our country. Massive testing should be implemented the soonest possible. It doesn’t require any expensive investment, less than 2 million USD which could make possible to understand whether teachers have overcome COVID-19 or not”, Vokshi declared.
