Nine days after the parliamentary polls, the Central Election Commission has certified the final election results for all counties.

On a meeting held on Tuesday, CEC representatives reviewed and later confirmed the results for 11 counties, apart from the results in Kukes which were certified since Friday.

Despite wide contestations from the Democratic Party, the Socialist Movement for Integration, and several independent candidates, the outcome from the polls is 74 parliamentary seats for the SP, 59 to DP and allies, 4 for SMI, and 3 for the SDP.

The parliament will be constituted on the 9 of September.

Political subjects now have a 5-day deadline to lodge any complaint.

The State Election Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi said that political parties will have all the necessary information in case of complaints.

The turnout at the polls was 45.7% which stirred a public spat on the number of invalid votes, estimated at 83.000 votes or around 5% of the total ballots cast.
