The General Secretary of the Socialist Party, Taulant Balla, standing at the podium during Friday’s plenary session said President Ilir Meta has “seriously violated the Constitution” in siding with the opposition during the electoral campaign.

“In all his public appearances, the president has carried out political activities, defending the interest of a particular group that is mainly affiliated with the opposition, and calling on the people to show maturity and topple the ruling regime”, said Balla.

He added that the derogatory rhetoric used by the president in describing the ruling majority was similar to the terms used by the leaders of the opposition.
