Albanian political leaders have extended their greetings to Muslim believers today, on the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr celebrations focusing their posts on messages of “peace, solidarity and tolerance”.
Ministers Olta Xhaçka and Gerta Manastirliu sent their wishes through a post on Facebook, which wrote “may your prayers and fast be accepted”.
“Gratitude for the values of faith, solidarity and tolerance that you share to the Albanian society,” – wrote Xhacka on Facebook.
“May you have health and prosperity in your families,”- wrote Manastirliu.
Around 09:50 a.m., after visiting the center of the Muslim Community in Albania, the leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basah wished all believers for the Eid al-Fitr.
“To all Muslim believers, I wish you Eid al-Fitr from my heart, may you have an accepted fast, prayers, a revived hope; God bless you, may He give you and your families prosperity, God bless Albania,” – wrote Basha.
The Albanian PM Edi Rama extending his wishes through a video post on Facebook.
Ambassadors Luigi Soreca and Yuri Kim also wished all Muslim believers through posts on their social media accounts.
The US ambassador, Yuri Kim wished “Happy Eid al-Fitr” through a post on Twitter.

The EU ambassador to Albania, Luigi Soreca also wrote a post on Twitter, where he wished that the “sacrifices and dedication during Ramadan, may bring good health and happiness to Albanian families”.
