Defender 21 open day in Tirana will begin on Sunday at 10 AM at Mother Theresa Square, where the public will have an opportunity to check out the American and Albanian armies and the pieces of equipment to be used during their joint military exercises.
The Open Day in the capital comes after the two previous ones in Durres and Vlora.
Helicopters, military armored vehicles, buses, and military equipment will all be exposed to the eyes of those who will be interested to visit.
Sublieutenant Fabio Bardho, a pilot of the military airbase in Farka, says the public has been quite keen for the Open Day.
“They’re interested in taking photos and learn about helicopters”, sublieutenant Bardho says.
The Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi and US Ambassador to Albania Yuri Kim are expected to hold a speech at the event.
“Defender 21”, led by the US military forces will stay in Albania until the first ten days of June, conducting military drills in 7 training areas.
