Durres Police arrested on Thursday a customs officer, who had been convicted for trafficking drugs by Italian authorities.

Sources near Euronews Albania confirm that Julian Mandija was arrested at the port, where he was responsible for routine checks on arriving containers.

An international arrest warrant was out for the 42-year-old man, who is now going to be extradited to Italy to serve his 7 years and 4 months prison sentence.
