COVID-19 claims another ten lives in Albania

The COVID-attributed death count in our country has been on a constant rise recently. 10 citizens lost their lives in the past 24 hours, and 826 others were confirmed to have contracted the virus.

5150 tests were conducted nationwide in the past 24 hours. In addition, another 916 citizens recovered today, bringing the total known number of recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic in our country to 151,914.

There are currently 12,157 patients that are active carriers of COVID-19, 211 of them are receiving specialized treatment in hospital, whereas 18 of them are exhibiting severe forms of the virus.

The Ministry of Health is calling on citizens to get vaccinated against the virus, while reminding all citizens over 18, that they are free to get an anti-COVID vaccine in any of the healthcare centres closest to them.
