The Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan has arrived at Rinas airport this morning at 09:25 AM, whenre he was received by PM Edi Rama.
Numerous police forces have been deployed and are mobilized to ensure the safety of the Turkish president and his convoy during their visit to Tirana.
Meanwhile, the first stop of Erdogan’s itinerary will be in Lac, where the Turkish government has funded the construction of 524 apartment buildings following the devastating 2019 earthquake that destroyed hundreds of homes and took the lives of 51.
Erdogan will be participating in an inaugurating ceremony, where he will officially present the new buildings, funded by the Turkish government. Also in Lac, the Turkish president will take part in a ceremony dedicated to the city’s main square which will be named after him.
