There will be a large coalition of opposition parties in this upcoming election set to take place on March 6, declared Ivi Kaso, member of DP’s Refoundation Commission founded by former PM Sali Berisha.
Kaso declared that this opposition front will be joined by all traditional allies to Democrats and additional smaller parties as well.
“An intense logistics process and negotiations have begun on all opposition fronts and we hope to be able to formalize this into a political agreement in a few days,” – he declared.
Kaso said that the selection of candidates will be achieved through a process of primaries, which will be a breakthrough in Albanian politics.
In addition, the electoral expert said that this process will take place on January 30, where members of DP in 6 municipalities will be appointed as candidates for mayor.
President Ilir Meta has decreed March 6 as the day when partial elections in 6 municipalities will take place in our country, namely in Durres, Diber, Shkoder, Rrogozhina, Lushnje and Vore.
