The Culture Ministry has decided that a part of the National Park of Butrint will be administered by a private foundation.
Democrat MP Ina Zhupa accused the ministry of taking away from the state 800 hectares of land and passing it to a private company which implies “renouncing from the protection of historical and cultural values”.
“How is it possible that the state renounces the protection of cultural and historical values and hands that out to a private entity”, Zhupa said.
Zhupa then sarcastically questioned why not lend the Ministry of Culture to a concessionary firm.
