Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Saturday that gender equality will be the basis for the organization of the party’s new regional leaders.
His statement came during a visit to Peshkopia as the leader of the SP continues a nationwide tour for the election of the 61 new mayors.
Rama emphasized that the party needs to “open up to new people” and called for more space for women.
“As we have agreed wherever we have good candidacies assessed by the Special Commission for their selection and it turns out that the candidacies are both a woman and a man, we will continue to lead the party together”.
“Better results are achieved wherever organizations are co-directed based on gender equality “, said Rama
