Albin Kurti has officially taken up his duties as the Prime Minister of Kosovo.

This morning a state ceremony was held where former premier Avdullah Hoti passed over the executive post to Albin Kurti.

On Monday, 67 lawmakers voted “yes” to a Kurti government.

During his word, the newly elected Prime Minister of Kosovo said that the “expectations for his administration are high, hence their “responsibility is as higher”.

He called on the new officials to be at the service of the citizens and not privileges.

Albin Kurti’s party, the Self-Determination Movement (Vetëvendosja) won 58 mandates at the general elections.
