Kosovan judoka wins the gold medal at the Olympics

Distria Krasniqi, a judoka from Kosovo, won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Krasniqi defeated Japanese judoka Funa Tonaki in the grand finale for the 48 kg class.

This is Kosovo’s second gold medal at the Olympics.

In 2016, it was Majlinda Kelmendi that got the country’s first world title in Judo in the under 52 kg class.
