Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said he will not be attending the Prespa Forum in order to meet with the war veterans, together with Finance Minister Hekuran Murati and MP Armend Muja.

The scope of the meeting will be to hear out the veterans’ demands, reported KosovaPress.

Kurti said during Thursday’s plenary session that he wants to meet with the veterans amid calls to continue the plenum.

“What I propose today is that I will cancel my participation at the Prespa Forum until tomorrow”.

“I believe that they are the true representatives of the protest, not an MP from the opposition”, taking aim at opposition MP Tahiri who unplugged the podium’s microphone in a sign of protest.

Initially, Kurti said he agrees with war veterans that they should get higher compensation than the minimum wage, but added that only the real veterans deserve that.
