President Meta has recognized the April 25th elections.
In a statement for the media, the head of state said that even though April 25th seemed like an impossible mission, he is happy that this electoral process was able to serve the democracy and stability of the country.
According to him, now is the time to finalize the electoral process with respect and tranquility.
He emphasized that everyone should reflect until September, when the new institutions will be created, that will emanate from the votes of April 25th.
“My major challenge, especially in the last two years, has been to make it possible for the people to express their free will and for Albania to return to the rails of the Constitution, of parliamentarism and political normality. Even though I was alone in front of the captured institutions, I was able to make April 25th a calm, peaceful day, without scenes of violence and with your massive turnout to exercise the right to vote,” said the president.
