The former MP of DP, Jorida Tabaku stated for Euronews Albania during ‘Ilva Now’ that if DP wins April 25th’s elections, the ministers in Basha’s cabinet won’t be the same as those in power during Berisha’s administration. Tabaku also asserted that the Democratic Party is ready for government.
“Basha has put together a team and he has openly presented them through his electoral lists, a team that gives him certainty and he will govern with this team. These are people with integrity, they have worked and contributed for the Democratic Party,” said Tabaku.
Tabaku also added that she admits the mistakes made by the DP while in opposition, by saying that it has been a difficult opposition, however, they are now ready to step into office and govern the country.
Regarding DP’s departure from Parliament, Tabaku said that it was the last resort as their voice wasn’t being heard, something that became fact following the approval of the second decree on the demolition of the national theater.
“I have used my time in parliament to the fullest. After the second decree on the demolition of the national theater was passed, I knew there was nothing else we could do there. Why be in parliament? To be notaries of the government or to ask for an investigative commission that doesn’t get approved?” continued Tabaku.
