COVID-hospital goes up in flames in Tetovo

A big fire has suddenly broken out on Wednesday night in Tetovo’s modular COVID-designated hospital, where COVID-patients are currently being treated.

At the moment, there are still no exact reports in terms of victims and injuries, but journalists on the ground are pointing to at least a dozen of victims.

The hospital’s capacity was up to 35 beds, and as of last night a total of 24 patients had been admitted.

Tetovo is the second largest city after of North Macedonia, after Skopje, where there are currently over 6 000 active cases.

Around 1 400 citizens were thought to have been active carriers of COVID-19, as of last night.
