Families and businesses in Shkodra and Gjirokastra will face increased prices on their water bills. The decision of the Regulatory Body sets a price of up to 60 ALL/m3 in these districts.

The price of water will increase in two districts of the country starting from January 2025. The Water Regulatory Body has approved the request of two companies in Shkodra and Gjirokastra and the changes will affect both families, businesses and public institutions.

The growth will not be the same in the municipalities of each district, even though the management is dependent on a society within the region. Thus, in Shkodra, Malsia e Madhe and Vau e Deja, a cubic meter for family members will cost 55 lek, from 40 to 50 lek, which is today, in each municipality.

Meanwhile, in Puka and Fushë Arrëz, the price approved by ERRU will be ALL 40/m3.

Even in Gjirokastra, a similar practice has been approved, where families will pay according to the municipalities a price of 50 ALL/m3, with the increase varying from 8 to 50%.

Even the fixed fee that is paid for each bill has increased to the value of 200 ALL in these companies.
