The electorate of the Democratic Party cannot trail behind the decisions of the United States in declaring Sali Berisha persona non-grata, declared Andi Bushati on Shock.

According to Bushati, what really matters is the relationship between a leader and the electorate and not an embassy’s stance, adding that Basha has “torn down every type of contract he had with his electorate”.

“Lulzim Basha doesn’t even have the face to go in front of his own people”, said Bushati.

He described Berisha’s nationwide tour as “a hurricane inside the Democratic Party”, which was mainly fueled by what Basha did.

On the other side of the panel, Baton Haxhiu said that Basha’s main fault was to give Berisha freedom inside the party, as the latter risks splitting up the Democratic Party.

‘Berisha days are over, Albanians no longer need that sort of rhetoric’

“Berisha days are over, Albanians don’t need to return back to his aggressive language”, declared Baton Haxhiu on Shock.

“I am not sure if the battle among one’s kind and that against the adversary is the same.
I see the unwillingness to fight for leadership as problematic”, added Haxhiu.
