During the second day of his visit to Turkey, PM Edi Rama shared a message saying that he has been discussing on the possible plans for constructing an anti-COVID vaccine manufacturing company in Albania.
The Head of State shared the details of his meeting with the distributor of the Chinese Sinovac vaccine, Canturk Alagöz.
The arrival of Chinese vaccines in Albania wasn’t obtained through a direct agreement with Chinese manufacturers but rather through a Turkish distributor.
“I thanked him with gratitude for the help, which was a matter of life and death; we discussed about the project of constructing a vaccine manufactory in Albania, as part of an excellence pharmaceutical center,” stated Rama.
Until now, 899.550 doses of the anti-COVID vaccines have arrived in Albania, whereas the plan announced by authorities is to be able to have administered the vaccine to 1 million citizens within the month of June.
