{"id":10141,"date":"2021-04-09T12:21:56","date_gmt":"2021-04-09T12:21:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=10141"},"modified":"2021-04-09T12:25:15","modified_gmt":"2021-04-09T12:25:15","slug":"deputy-health-minister-chinese-vaccine-prevents-covid-19-deaths-at-100","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/deputy-health-minister-chinese-vaccine-prevents-covid-19-deaths-at-100\/","title":{"rendered":"Deputy health minister: Chinese vaccine prevents COVID-19 deaths at 100%"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"Euronews\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Citing a study from the University of Chile, which claimed that the Chinese-made vaccine from Sinovac is \u201cnot up to the appropriate standards\u201d, the head of the Technical Experts Committee Mira Rakacolli said that the study\u2019s methodology should be taken in consideration, and underlined that the Chinese jab \u201cprevents mortalities at 100%\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Euronews\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Euronews Albania anchor Loneta Progni, mentioned the data of the study, which suggests that the vaccine is only 3% effective after the first dose is administered, increasing to 56.5% after the second one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Euronews\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The study conducted in one of the countries with the highest vaccine rollouts in the world, as Chile is being referred to, claims that the vaccine is only 27.7% effective after the injection of both doses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Euronews\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The deputy minister of health said that the third phase of the vaccine trial conducted in Brazil claimed that it was 50.6% effective, meanwhile another study in Indonesia said that it was over 87% effective. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Euronews\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u201cIt is the same vaccine but it depends on how the study was measured and the connotation of the \u201ceffectiveness\u201d, therefore this is where should refer to.
