Compared to the same period one year ago, the number of deaths doubled.<\/p>\n<p>According to preliminary data from the office of civil status, March 2021 marked a total of 3900 fatalities in our country. In February 2021, around 3500 deaths were registered whereas in January, 2800.<\/p>\n<p>Only in the first trimester of this year, a total of 10.200 fatalities were recorded, which shows an increase by 70%, compared to the same period last year.
