The message at this time of a pandemic is clear; no one is safe until everyone is. But the global disequilibrium in terms of the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccines is threatening the battle against the pandemic.<\/p>\n
The COVAX initiative is trying to address these inequalities. COVAX has delivered around 38.4 million doses of the vaccine in 102 countries, in six continents and it is looking to give more than 2 billion dollars a year, but it has faced problems, like the \u2018AstraZeneca\u2019 doses, which were the backbone of this program.<\/p>\n
COVAX has also announced its third round of the distribution of vaccines for the months, April-June 2021. During this phase, the vaccine that will be distributed is \u2018Pfizer\u2019.<\/p>\n
According to data by COVAX, Albania is expected to receive around 23.400 doses of the Pfizer vaccine during April-June, while in the first round, which covered the period February-May, we secured around 120 thousand doses of the \u2018AstraZeneca\u2019 vaccine.<\/p>\n
Kosovo, where vaccination rhythms continue to be slow-paced, will until the end of June, receive 100.620 \u2018Pfizer\u2019 vaccines from the COVAX system.<\/p>\n
In the list that was published in the second round of the COVAX delivery, Kosovo will secure a total of 100.200 \u2018AstraZeneca\u2019 vaccines. Taking into consideration the first 24.000 doses received in the beginning, Kosovo will get an additional 76.800 \u2018AstraZeneca\u2019 vaccines until the end of next month.<\/p>\n
In the third round, North Macedonia, which is facing a difficult situation from the pandemic, will secure the same amount as Kosovo.<\/p>\n
