{"id":10559,"date":"2021-04-15T20:03:11","date_gmt":"2021-04-15T20:03:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=10559"},"modified":"2021-04-15T20:28:11","modified_gmt":"2021-04-15T20:28:11","slug":"voting-trends-in-tirana-dp-on-the-rise-difference-with-sp-narrows","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/voting-trends-in-tirana-dp-on-the-rise-difference-with-sp-narrows\/","title":{"rendered":"Voting trends in Tirana, DP on the rise, difference with SP narrows"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If the parliamentary elections would be held this Sunday, the Socialist Party would lead with a very slight difference in the district counties of Tirana and Durres, as its difference with the Democratic Party is almost two times smaller.<\/p>\n<p>The second survey conducted by MRB for Euronews Albania showed that in the two main counties in the county, the difference between the two main parties has narrowed from 10.3% to 5% in Tirana and from 6.4% to 2.9% in Durres.<\/p>\n<p>When asked regarding which party they would vote for if the elections were being held next Sunday, citizens in Tirana replied:<\/p>\n<p>SP \u2013 41.5%<\/p>\n<p>DP \u2013 36.5%<\/p>\n<p>SMI \u2013 5.9%<\/p>\n<p>Others \u2013 3.7%<\/p>\n<p>Undecided \u2013 12.4%<\/p>\n<p>Something that comes to the attention is DP\u2019s rise with 4.8 percentage points. In the first survey, SP received 42% of the support, while DP, 31.7%.<\/p>\n<p>Based on these results in the district county of Tirana and after analyzing the voting trends of the undecided in the last elections, MRB has made the following projection: SP will lead with 5.7% over DP, whereas SMI would only receive 6.7%.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about which party they would vote for if the elections were to be held next Sunday, citizens in the district county of Durres replied:<\/p>\n<p>SP \u2013 41.1%<\/p>\n<p>DP \u2013 38.2%<\/p>\n<p>SMI \u2013 5.1%<\/p>\n<p>Others \u2013 4.6%<\/p>\n<p>Undecided \u2013 11%<\/p>\n<p>Similar to the situation in Tirana, DP has seen a rise by 1.3 percentage points compared to the first survey, whereas SP has seen a drop of 2.2 percentage points. In the first survey, SP received 43.3% and DP 36.9%.
