The transitory assessment of police forces continues to be at a standstill. It is now more than a month after the last proceeding and only 37 out of 300 high officials amongst the ranks of the State Police and National Guard, have come in front of the judging board. \u00a0Euronews Albania went to the External Evaluation Committee, which in short declared that the verification of subjects continues normally, even though a public proceeding hasn\u2019t been organized.<\/p>\n
The Head of the Directory of Collaboration and Coordination at the State Police, Andi Likaj, was the last subject that was processed for vetting on March 10th<\/sup>. From this date, no subject from the ranks of the state police or the national guard has come in front of the External Committee, making the process go at a very slow pace. Despite initial expectations, it has been more than 17 months since the beginning of the vetting process amongst the police ranks and only 37 subjects have undergone the evaluation filters out of 300.<\/p>\n Only 28 directors have been confirmed in office until now, amongst them the Chief of Police, Ardi Veliu, the Director of Criminal Police, Tonin Vocaj, the Director of Serious Crimes, Arben Dashi and the Commander of the National Guard, Gramoz Sako.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The transitory assessment of police forces continues to be at a standstill.
