A doctor in the Infective Hospital, Entela Ramosaco, tells us that at the moment, there are fewer elderly patients admitted to the hospital, whereas the most prevalent age group is 35-60.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeeing that the number of admissions has decreased, we can say that in the premises of our emergency unit in this period, we are admitting 5,6 or a maximum of 10 patients in 24 hours. The number of elderly patients being hospitalized has dropped, but I believe this is the effect of the vaccine, whereas other people who haven\u2019t been vaccinated especially those in the ages 40-60 should be very attentive,\u201d said Entela Ramosaco, infections specialist doctor at QSUT.<\/p>\n<p>According to the doctor, the fall of daily infections shouldn\u2019t be accompanied by negligence towards measures against COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe patients that are coming are showing more grave symptoms, they are cases that need reanimation or respiratory assistance.
