The Euronews Albania\u2019s preliminary exit poll results in Durres show the positive impact of the government\u2019s earthquake reconstruction efforts, according to journalist Neritan Sejamini.<\/p>\n
Commenting on the exit poll results for the district hit most badly by the November 2019 earthquake \u2013 SP 42.4-48.4%, DP 37.4-43.4% – Sejamini suggested that the opposition DP would have had a better result in this district if the deadly earthquake had not hit the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cElbasan and Durres would have been similar to Tirana were it not for the specific events happening there. An earthquake occurred in Durres and we have seen that reflected in the exit poll,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He added that the Durres citizens\u2019 discontent with the government was weakened by the management in the earthquake aftermath, which Sejamini suggested may have cost the opposition 1-2 seats in parliament.<\/p>\n
\u201cDiscontent with the government in Durres amounts to 60% but when they respond to how the government managed the earthquake aftermath, 605 are content.
