Analyst Aleksander Cipa and the former Minister of Justice, Ylli Manjani spoke during Ilva Now about the biggest mistakes that according to them, the opposition is guilty of in these parliamentary elections on April 25th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

According to Cipa, the Democratic Party and SMI used the wrong strategy by being in two separate coalitions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe strategy with their own ally; personally, I believe they shouldn\u2019t have had two coalitions because the results wouldn\u2019t be maximized that way,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The analysts also said that the second mistake made by the opposition was the display of the element of force, when it came to protecting the vote and emphasized that the incident of Elbasan ended up strictly damaging them.<\/p>\n

For the former Minister of Justice, Ylli Manjani the biggest mistake made by the opposition was in their organization, where according to him, every step came too late. According to Manjani, the inner organization of DP is still problematic and this definitely affected the results.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything came too late; the structures were barely moving. Basha made a quasi- individual effort and he had a definite growth. I don\u2019t think that the \u2018burning\u2019 of parliamentary mandates had any negative effect. DP would have been penalized but in fact DP\u2019s approval grew. A party gets punished by votes and DP wasn\u2019t punished by votes, that is its maximum,\u201d said Manjani.<\/p>\n

A second weak point, according to Manjani was \u201cpolitical diffusion\u201d because SMI, by running separately, suffered great damages. According to him, if SMI had run with DP, they would have secured the necessary number of mandates in many electoral districts but the unification of forces would have brought a better result for the entire opposition.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not just a mechanical unification of votes that would have certainly resulted in more mandates for SMI in Gjirokaster, Berat, Durres, Lezhe and Vlora maybe. This is a responsibility entirely of SMI because they did everything wrong in these elections. They were punished because of the system,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
