Nothing changed, in order for North Macedonia and Albania to be treated under the same package. The German government was engaged a lot during the EU presidency. Now we support the Portuguese presidency to swiftly resolve bilateral matters and with that hold, the first Inter-Governmental Conference for North Macedonia and Albania\u201d, said the German foreign minister.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&quot;Germany is very serious about an <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/EU?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#EU<\/a> perspective for countries in the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/WesternBalkans?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#WesternBalkans<\/a>. This holds especially true for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NorthMacedonia?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NorthMacedonia<\/a>: It has fully met the requirements for accession negotiations and is continuing its reform agenda consistently nonetheless.&quot; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HeikoMaas?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@HeikoMaas<\/a> (2\/2)<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; GermanForeignOffice (@GermanyDiplo) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GermanyDiplo\/status\/1389211108662185987?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 3, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Bujar Osmani, North Macedonia foreign affairs minister shared the same stance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlthough the Commission evaluates every country based on the progress it has made, experience has shown that a united path is more worthy as you benefit from synergetic effects. North Macedonia has fulfilled all the criteria and it has incorporated 45% of European legislation to its own, 95% of our foreign policies have been harmonized with the joint security policies, we have fulfilled economic and political membership criteria.
