\u201cIdentity and dignity are the most important matters for a human being. If you violate someone\u2019s honor and identity, you devalue them before their family, society and the country he lives in. I have been the President and Prime minister of this nation, I have been responsible, for the dignity of this nation, and I have tried to do everything in my power to honor their dignity and identity.<\/p>\n
Today I am a private citizen. Today, I am responsible only for my own dignity. But I want to clarify something, if we go back 30 to 40 years ago, you would\u2019ve found me a passionate heart surgeon, someone that had travelled, that lived a good life, that had a home 30 m square less than the one I have today, but there was a problem. This person didn\u2019t have dignity. He said something and felt something else for the regime he hated. This was my drive, to go against the regime I hated with all my heart,\u201d said Berisha.<\/p>\n
Berisha said that the accusations raised against him by the US Secretary of State are a product of slandering and public defamation, which is why Berisha and his legal advisor are putting together a lawsuit against Mr. Blinken.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is no one in Albania or the world that can say that I am or have been implicated in any corruptive affair, which is why I have spoken to my legal advisor in a neutral and respected country like France, to file a lawsuit against Antony Blinken, a direct lawsuit over public slandering. He will be sued by the Correctional Court of Paris, where the lawsuit is raised by my attorney,\u201d said Berisha.<\/p>\n
When asked by journalists, whether he will file a lawsuit for the Assisstant Secretary of State for Europe, Matthew Palmer, who admitted in an interview for the Voice of America that Berisha \u201chas abused his office\u201d, the former PM said that he will see into his statement, but initially his focus is on the lawsuit against Blinken.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will see into his statement, but in one aspect, Mr. Palmer, I believe is a high official of the US Department of State, who has protected the declaration of the US Department of State. Nothing more nothing less,\u201d said Berisha.<\/p>\n
The former historic leader of the Democratic Party emphasized that the decision of the US Department of State, has violated his dignity, but he assured that he will continue his efforts to clarify everything related to these accusations, which he called \u201cpublic slandering\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is nothing more important to me than the relations with the US, but above all else, is human dignity, dignity is the essence of a free human being, I have tried all my life, to protect it; [in this case], my dignity has been violated like never before, but I will clear this up until the end. I will put my dignity back to its rightful place,\u201d said Berisha.<\/p>\n
