{"id":15408,"date":"2021-06-09T21:42:24","date_gmt":"2021-06-09T19:42:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=15408"},"modified":"2021-06-09T22:12:10","modified_gmt":"2021-06-09T20:12:10","slug":"political-party-performance-sp-surpassed-expectations-dp-and-smi-a-letdown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/political-party-performance-sp-surpassed-expectations-dp-and-smi-a-letdown\/","title":{"rendered":"Political party performance, SP surpassed expectations, DP and SMI a letdown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The results of the April 25 elections, in most of the cases, surpassed the expectations of those who cast their ballot under the Socialist Party\u2019s banner, while the Democratic Party and the Socialist Movement for Integration let down nearly more than half of their supporters, who instead were expecting a much more positive performance.<\/p>\n<p>These were the conclusions retrieved following a survey conducted by Euronews Albania and the prestigious company MRB, where it was noted that only an insignificant amount of Democrat voters (1.6%) said that the party did \u201cbetter than expected\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Voters of the Socialist Party said that it performed:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As well as I expected \u2013 15.8%<\/li>\n<li>Somewhat better from what I had expected \u2013 28.7%<\/li>\n<li>Much better than I had expected \u2013 26.3%<\/li>\n<li>As bad as I had expected \u2013 11.3%<\/li>\n<li>Somewhat worse from what I had expected \u2013 7.3%<\/li>\n<li>Much worse than I had expected \u2013 7.1%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Voters of the Democratic Party said that it performed:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As well as I expected \u2013 15.8%<\/li>\n<li>Somewhat better from what I had expected \u2013 12.4%<\/li>\n<li>Much better than I had expected \u2013 1.6%<\/li>\n<li>As bad as I had expected \u2013 18.7%<\/li>\n<li>Somewhat worse from what I had expected \u2013 28.7%<\/li>\n<li>Much worse than I had expected \u2013 21.2%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Voters of the Socialist Movement for Integration said that it performed:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As well as I expected \u2013 6.4%<\/li>\n<li>Somewhat better from what I had expected \u2013 3%<\/li>\n<li>Much better than I had expected \u2013 2.4%<\/li>\n<li>As bad as I had expected \u2013 23.6%<\/li>\n<li>Somewhat worse from what I had expected \u2013 22.3%<\/li>\n<li>Much worse than I had expected \u2013 41.2%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Methodology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The survey was done for Euronews Albania by the prestigious company MRB who conducted 1.000 face-to-face interviews (49.5% male, 50.5% female) in urban and rural areas with eligible voters (+18) from May 25 until June 2.<\/p>\n<p><strong>YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/programs\/ilva-now\/2021\/06\/09\/majority-of-albanians-believe-sp-will-finish-third-mandate\/\">Majority of Albanians believe SP will finish third mandate<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/programs\/ilva-now\/2021\/06\/09\/albanians-think-unemployment-is-the-most-important-issue-in-the-country\/\">Albanians think unemployment is the most important issue in the country<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/programs\/ilva-now\/2021\/06\/09\/majority-of-albanians-against-a-grand-sp-dp-ruling-coalition\/\">Majority of Albanians against a grand SP-DP ruling coalition<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The results of the April 25 elections, in most of the cases, surpassed the expectations of those who cast their ballot under the Socialist Party\u2019s banner, while the Democratic Party and the Socialist Movement for Integration let down nearly more than half of their supporters, who instead were expecting a much more positive performance.
