Opposition parties in Kosovo have widely seen Prime Minister Albin Kurti\u2019s stance in front of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic as a \u201cmajor failure\u201d.<\/p>\n

To former premier and leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, it is not surprising that Kurti\u2019s priority is shifting from CEFTA to SEFTA – South-Eastern European Free Trade Agreement\u2014 instead of Kosovo\u2019s recognition by Serbia.<\/p>\n

Haradinaj also added that any other approach will not yield any potential results and instead warned that it might even be dangerous to the country.<\/p>\n

He urged Kurti to appear in front of the Parliament and said that AAK is willing to present a draft on expectations about the dialogue, which according to the former premier must begin with reciprocal recognition.<\/p>\n

In regards to Kurti\u2019s proposal, to have Kosovo and Serbia sign a non-aggression pact, Haradinaj sees it as \u201ccompletely unnecessary\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are the responsibility of NATO and Serbia would not dare attack us. Under all circumstances, it is recognition that we must seek for, and with that comes NATO membership also\u201d, emphasized Haradinaj.<\/p>\n

For Lutfi Haziri, the deputy leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) the first Kurti-Vucic meeting was not about negotiations at all.<\/p>\n

Haziri said that the principles have already been established, such as having an unconditional dialogue and being treated as an equal party, adding that Kurti\u2019s four points go beyond the frontiers of the dialogue process.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, according to Edita Tahiri, former chief negotiator at the dialogue, Albin Kurti \u201cshowed inferiority in front of Vucic\u201d and \u201cdamaged Kosovo\u201d.<\/p>\n

Tahiri believes that Kurti has placed Kosovo in a difficult position and instead climbed Serbia on a more favorable spot in the process.<\/p>\n

Yesterday\u2019s meeting in Brussels concluded with a row between Kurti and Vucic, with the latter declaring that he will \u201cnever recognize Kosovo\u201d.<\/p>\n
