I think it represents the Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire and the Illyrian period. It is very impressive. One of the best castles in the Balkans. We came here from Romania with a tourist group and we are happy to visit Albania. We find very friendly people here,\u201d said one of the tourists.<\/p>\n<p>While for Francesa, another tourist coming from Italy, the city is charming.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou find pieces from the past wherever you set your foot on,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n<p>The director of the museum of the Rozafa castle, Ndri\u00e7im Milka, said that so far this year, more than 15 thousand tourists have visited the castle, a positive figure compared to last year, when countries were forced to shut down because of the pandemic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shkodra seems to have become a hotspot for all foreign tourists who are visiting Albania this year.
