According to official data published by INSTAT, in May 2021, a total of 120 road accidents were recorded, compared to 75 accidents taking place back in 2021 \u2013 marking a 60% rise.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, the study of the last 5 months also shows a 40.3% rise compared to last year, where a total of 547 road accidents have been reported compared to the 390 accidents happening in the first five months of 2020.<\/p>\n<p>During May 2021, the number of citizens losing their lives due to road accidents has been a staggering 20 people, compared to 9, back in 2020.
