The technical side implies the conditions demanded by the EU, which both Albania and North Macedonia had to fulfill in order to launch accession negotiations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt times of enlargement, be that with Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania, the decision was political, and it will be like that again\u201d, said Mesi.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of Albania, Mesi believes that the EU Council meeting went smoother than in the past because all member states have agreed that the country has met the criteria.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn every EU report, from 2018 till now, the answer has been that Albania is ready.
