Back in 2017, a lengthy process of discussions lasting upwards to 22 hours is what it took for parliament to vote in Rama\u2019s second-term cabinet.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard to say how many hours he\u2019ll need this time around \u2013 4 years later and in a parliament no longer void of an opposition.<\/p>\n

Voting didn\u2019t commence until the second plenary meeting in 2017\u2019s legislature, as the first day was devoted solely to the verification of all parliamentary mandates and the election of the new speaker.<\/p>\n

According to protocol, MPs need to be sworn in within 2 days after their verification into the system.<\/p>\n

PM Rama was decreed by President Ilir Meta that same day, when during one of the 6 consecutive sessions, the parliament mandated him to form the government.<\/p>\n

In addition, after a few hours Meta decreed all the other ministers of Rama\u2019s cabinet.<\/p>\n

Seeing that earlier this year, this same parliament called for his impeachment and voted in favor of it, it remains to be seen whether or not Meta will act with the same willingness and agility.<\/p>\n

According to the constitution, the president has to decree all of Rama\u2019s chosen ministers within a 7-day limit.<\/p>\n

After, the Parliament has another 10 days to vote in all the decrees, including Rama\u2019s governing program.<\/p>\n
