Many Albanians and foreign visitors have chosen the village Brataj, as their next destination. The Venetian bridge that can be found here, has been declared a monument of national heritage and is now swiftly becoming a part of many of our country\u2019s tourist guides.<\/p>\n<p>Emigrants returning to their homeland have brought with them many developments and investments that are helping to boost tourism in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m from Brataj and I\u2019ve been living in Italy for the past 12 years. I spend almost all of my holidays here. I believe that one day, I might do something related to tourism in this village,\u201d said someone currently visiting Brataj.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve come from the US. I\u2019ve been living and working there for the past 5 years but I\u2019m from Brataj. I always spend my holidays in Brataj.\u00a0 You can see what the climate is like here. I would really like to come back, but now is not the right time for me,\u201d said another citizen.<\/p>\n<p>Coming to the bridge of Brataj, takes only a few minutes from the center of the village, but the road is still presenting several issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Bridge of Brataj is the largest of its kind in the whole country and one of the largest in the Balkans. We need a cobblestone road that takes visitors to the bridge. Waves of visitors come here every season, you can barely find a spot to park, but more needs to be done,\u201d said Nazer Kongjini, a retired history professor.<\/p>\n<p>Around 48 km from the city of Vlora, the bridge of Brataj dates back to the 16<sup>th<\/sup> century.
