{"id":19732,"date":"2021-09-07T16:38:10","date_gmt":"2021-09-07T14:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=19732"},"modified":"2021-09-07T16:39:33","modified_gmt":"2021-09-07T14:39:33","slug":"striped-off-its-parliamentary-group-rights-what-does-this-mean-for-smi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/striped-off-its-parliamentary-group-rights-what-does-this-mean-for-smi\/","title":{"rendered":"Striped off its parliamentary group rights, what will this mean for SMI?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the new Legislature, only the Socialists and the Democrats will have the right to form a parliamentary group.<\/p>\n<p>The Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) \u2013 a party which was founded back in 2004 and has been detrimental in the creation of coalitions granting parties the right to form government in Albania since 2009 \u2013 will only be represented by 4 MPs in the new Parliament.<\/p>\n<p>The prerequisites necessary to form a parliamentary group include having at least 7 MPs.<\/p>\n<p>But what does the lack of a parliamentary group mean?<\/p>\n<p>Parliamentary groups are provided with separate offices at the Parliamentary Headship.
