{"id":20912,"date":"2021-09-24T09:45:28","date_gmt":"2021-09-24T07:45:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=20912"},"modified":"2021-09-24T10:31:01","modified_gmt":"2021-09-24T08:31:01","slug":"decision-to-oust-berisha-belonged-to-party-forums-says-mp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/decision-to-oust-berisha-belonged-to-party-forums-says-mp\/","title":{"rendered":"Decision to oust Berisha belonged to party forums, says MP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Luan Ba\u00e7i, an MP of the Democratic Party, told Euronews Albania that the removal of Sali Berisha from the parliamentary group was a decision that should have been taken by the party\u2019s forums, making it less contestable.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, Ba\u00e7i believes that this is a political decision of the US State Department.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, he added that the decision could have only been taken if party members were to vote, especially when it comes to expelling one of its founders.<\/p>\n<p>The Democrat MP said that recent tensions have shadowed the \u201creal tasks\u201d of the opposition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn that regard, we need to make an apology due to the recent developments in Albanian politics, but especially within the Democratic Party. Pretty much the focus has shifted inside DP\u2019s debate, overshadowing the real battle we need to do against corruption and the government\u201d, Ba\u00e7i said.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the decision of Lulzim Basha, Ba\u00e7i asserted that he will align with the Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBasha and Berisha are both important personalities of the Democratic Party.
