{"id":21075,"date":"2021-09-26T17:00:22","date_gmt":"2021-09-26T15:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=21075"},"modified":"2021-09-26T17:09:12","modified_gmt":"2021-09-26T15:09:12","slug":"albania-has-fully-vaccinated-27-of-its-population-thus-far","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/albania-has-fully-vaccinated-27-of-its-population-thus-far\/","title":{"rendered":"Albania has so far only fully-vaccinated 27% of its population"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So far, Albania has been able to administer over 1.7 million anti-COVID vaccination, of which over 770 thousand citizens have received both doses.<\/p>\n<p>According to data published recently by the Ministry of Health, each day, about 10 000 vaccinations are carried out across the country.<\/p>\n<p>At the moment, vaccination is open to all citizens over the age of 18, which means that they can simply head to their closest healthcare centre, vaccination centre or policlinic, and get their shot after providing proof of ID, every day from 08:00-20:00.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry also added that there\u2019s currently a reserve of over 300 thousand vaccines in the country, because a total of 2 045 310 shots have arrived thus far.<\/p>\n<p>Based on data published by INSTAT, Albania has a population of 2.8 million people and to date, around 27% of our population has been fully vaccinated i.e. received both shots.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, this means that our country isn\u2019t too far from reaching a favourable per capita vaccination rate.<\/p>\n<p>Data shows that so far there are over 2 million citizens that haven\u2019t received their vaccine. If the current rhythm was to continue, we would need another 200 days to vaccinate everyone.<\/p>\n<p>In comparison to other countries of the region, North Macedonia has been able to fully vaccinate 33.9% of its population, Montenegro (33.5%) and Serbia, ranking first in the region with 41.5% of its population fully vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So far, Albania has been able to administer over 1.7 million anti-COVID vaccination, of which over 770 thousand citizens have received both doses.
