In an interview for Balkan Talks on Euronews Albania, analysts from North Macedonia Nazim Rashiti and Sefer Salimi noted that the electoral race has been peaceful, unlike previous polls.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is no tension in the interethnic narratives either, not even in the sense on how campaigns are conducted, including banal problems like wrecking election premises, or aggressive threats,” said Rashiti.<\/p>\n
According to Rushiti, the campaign has been mainly about what candidates are bringing to the table, recalling that election promises might have gone a bit too far.<\/p>\n
He also notes that preliminary polls point to a narrow result.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is a fact that we have a fragile majority, with only one MP more, and this makes Zaev\u2019s government frail\u201d, Selimi said.<\/p>\n
