I am publicly designating Berisha and his immediate family members as ineligible for entry into the United States. We remain <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/UnitedAgainstCorruption?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#UnitedAgainstCorruption<\/a> with our partners in Albania.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Secretary Antony Blinken (@SecBlinken) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SecBlinken\/status\/1394987425395617798?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 19, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The day after, Berisha <a href=\"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/albania\/2021\/05\/20\/former-pm-berisha-sues-u-s-secretary-of-state-antony-blinken\/\">declared<\/a> the accusations raised against him by the US Secretary of State are \u201ca product of slandering and public defamation\u201d, charging his attorney to bring the case to the Correctional Tribunal of Paris.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no one in Albania or the world that can say that I am or have been implicated in any corruptive affair, which is why I have spoken to my legal advisor to file a public slandering lawsuit against Antony Blinken in a neutral and respected country like France is,\u201d the former premier said at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Berisha, who is also one of the co-founders of the Democratic Party in Albania, called on Blinken to present the evidence against him in court.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hereby invite the Secretary of State to send any evidence, fact, or document that he has on Sali Berisha to the Paris Court. I guarantee you, he has nothing\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Berisha also revealed his plan to return to the chairmanship of the Democratic Party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet\u2019s open up a race where every candidate can have a fair game.
